Flying North

Dave rented a Piper Warrior from Whiteside January 21st and we flew to Eagle River, Wisconsin to snowmobile for a few days. It's about a 600 mile round trip. We were lucky enough to catch a tail wind each way, which shortened our flight times to just over two hours. Dave usually drives it in about seven hours, so it was a real treat for him to get there so quickly. This was my first snowmobile experience, and we borrowed a two seater from one of Dave's friends. We stayed in St. Germaine and did about 300 miles on the trails. I really enjoyed the trip, and we both had a great time. Winter flying really is so smooth, and the snowy scenery is beautiful.
